In my view art is not merely a representation of surface of things but the higher reality embedded with in. It is a creative process, an act of imaginative creation by which an artist not only expresses what is latent in this phenomenal world but his inner self as well. The mental process of an artist is revealed in and through his paintings by the power of his sensibility. I think the task of an artist is not only to translate the world of nature to express his own aesthetic appreciation for it, but to create a world by his own visionary approach, undiluted by any temporal organic thing. An artist dares to venture into a world where his visionary self becomes the supreme governing authority, free of all entanglements of the external world.
I always see a sanctity and spirituality in simplicity which is reflexive in my art too. It reveals the mind that is no more restless and nothing hidden beneath, seeking enlightenment in truth-simple and absolute. In this search of truth, I find myself in a delicate preoccupation with shapes, colures and space, these forces transport me to an ethereal world-divine and natural.
Images transform into shapes, shapes into living whole. Images recreate images out of pre-existing images; creating impressions of the same undeviated mental composition. One form enhances and strengthens another and they establish the same inalienable relation with the space thus, maintaining equilibrium between forms and their relation with the space, bearing testimony of one sweet harmony.
Space reinforces forms and radiates certain energy, bringing forth the spectrum of forms. Colours chosen and employed impart transparent simplicity to space and infuse it with freshness that never evaporates.
The forms in black colour applied with ease, register their presence with a strong force leaves a stimulating effect. There is a very interesting interplay of dark and light shades of the same colours. Black colour both in its dark and light tones is indicative of both strength and tenderness. Lines have their own significance, some where they become a centripetal force while spiral at the other leaving a perpetuating impression.
